With all the new features on TikTok, users from all countries publish new content every single day. But when the platform allows users to have anonymous accounts, that could be annoying. Identifying a user on TikTok
The following are valid resources and tricks that can help you learn more about social media users. However, not all of them work the same. That’s because people on social media may have different privacy settings. So, that can block sites or tools from accessing profile details like names publicly.
Check their TikTok details
This may not be valid for all users of the app. However, it’s a method that’s worth it, as it can show you all the information you need. So, go ahead and visit the exact TikTok profile you’re trying to identify and see if there is any mention of their associated account on Instagram. In fact, lots of people on social media try to link all their accounts with each other. Thus, they may add the usernames of their other profiles just under that TikTok account.
In the following example, you can see that the user has already mentioned their Instagram.
Also, another person has added their Gmail under the TikTok description. That helps a lot, especially when you want to contact that account owner. 
Other than that, you can find out who a TikTok account belongs to by browsing their posts and videos. Of course, that won’t provide you with clear answers from the beginning. But what if that person is publishing personal videos at the bottom of these posts? In other words, it’s a good idea to scroll through that page to find old videos telling you who is behind that account.
Here is another example of a user with a direct link to their YouTube channel. So, you don’t have to spend long hours trying to find out the real person’s identity behind that TikTok. Just visit their YouTube and learn more about them. 
Their account username
For this method, I tested the Kobirima search and it works well. The TikTok app is not different when it comes to profile usernames. People often choose a unique name that the platform requires later. So, that piece of information is useful not only for the account owner but also for other people. Thus, by just using a trusted username lookup tool, you may find the real name behind that TikTok account, like what I’ve talked about with Snapchat recently.
Depending on what tool or app you use, there could be different details. Thus, that simple username you searched for can tell you who that person is and get the following info:
- Full name
- Any possible phone number
- Email associated with that account
- Possible address and more
Additionally, there is another option that can help you discover the other profiles on social media with a username. For example, the site reverseusernamesearch.com has a good feature that scans hundreds of social networks and sites. So, type the TikTok username you want to identify there and get the other profiles on websites, forums, blogs, and more in a few clicks.
The site allows a free username lookup with 10 profiles at the same time. So, when you get these pages, click on the ‘load more’ button to get the next list of sites and accounts found.
Use Google
This is one of the most obvious ways to find out who a user is on TikTok. All you have to do is copy and paste that account’s username into Google. Next, validate and see all the profiles under that search page. Additionally, you can use the person’s name if there is any on their profile and see what comes up with a Google search.
I tested this method, and it works well, especially for accounts with lots of content. Google, as a search engine, indexes profiles on TikTok because they’re publicly available to crawl and index. Other than that, you may give DuckDuckGo or similar search engines a try. They work differently from Google, but combining all of them can help you discover the real names of those users.
Find who is behind that profile through their photo
This method works only if the profile photo is real and not modified in any way. You just have to download that user’s photo and save it on your smartphone or laptop. After that, visit a reverse image search engine that can tell you who is behind that image. Google Images is one of the free ways to see who is behind a photo. So, make sure you use it, and if there is any data linked to that file, Google will provide you with clear search results.
Of course, there are so many alternatives to Google Images. But not every site that offers a reverse photo search is worth the time. That being said, some advanced algorithms offer a great user experience and enhanced features. Also, they may show you the account owner’s name and phone number.
Browse their content
It’s obvious that people who create an anonymous account on the app may not want to reveal their real identities. But that’s not the case, as many of them neglect the fact that the videos they publish can give hints about who they are.
For that reason, it’s not that complicated to have a look at the specific account. Next, scroll through their published videos and see if that can show you any helpful information. To give you an example of this trick, I found the email of a TikTok user on their profile page. That helped me use the given contact information to see who they are, thanks to Gmail. As simple as that. So, when there is an email link under someone’s account on the app, try to tap on it.
That will tell the iPhone to open a new email with that exact ID, which will be visible.
If you can’t find any information on Gmail or Outlook behind that email, then reverse email lookup tools can help. There are different websites that offer such features. So, you can try to link the details you find from TikTok to the email and username behind them.
That way, by combining multiple search methods, you’ll have access to more data. As a result, you may see hidden profiles on social media about that mysterious user and their photos.
